Radio Frequency Microneedling FAQ's
Please read our FAQ's before making a booking
Does RF Microneedling hurt?
Prior to Radiofrequency Microneedling, the area will be numbed to reduce any potential discomfort or pain associated with the procedure. Because the needle perforations made in the skin are so tiny, there should not be lasting damage or discomfort. However, you may have some redness and swelling, and you will need to avoid certain skincare products for the next week after treatment.

How many session's will I require?
We will recommend a course of treatment depending on your skin concern, this can typically be 3-8 treatments at 4-6 week intervals. You can expect improvements in the first few weeks after your initial treatment. These improvements will increase over the next six months, as your body continuously produces new collagen.

Can I have Radio Frequency Microneedling with active Acne?
This would not be suitable for anyone with active acne, as this could cause the bacteria to spread.
We would suggest our Carbon Facial or IPL Treatment for Acne - Both require a consultation and patch test prior.

What areas can be treated?
Micro-needling can essentially be used on any part of the body. The most popular areas to treat are the face, neck, and chest. Micro-needling can also be effective on most types of scarring and stretch marks.

When will I begin to see results?
Generally, patients notice tightening, and a more even tone to their skin (Facial area), a week or two after their first session. For body areas with deeper imperfections, results can be subtler, 3-8 treatments are usually required. Since Micro-needling stimulates new collagen and elastin production, these results will continue to build for up to 6 months.

What is the downtime with this treatment?
After your treatment, your skin may be red and feel warm to touch, this usually lasts up-to 24hours. A few days post treatment your skin may feel dry and experience some light scabbing, this is completly normal.

Can this be carried out around the eye area?
