Lip Enhancements FAQ's
Please read our FAQ's before making a booking
Do I need to have a consultation first?
A consultation is not essential, however we recommend to book one if you have had filler elsewhere to ensure you are suitable for our signature technique and do not have migration or overfilled lips.
Each appointment does include a consultation, but if you are unsure on if you want filler we would suggest a consultation on its own prior.

What is the aftercare for Lip Enhancement?
We will go through all the aftercare during your appointment, please read through all of the email confirmation once booked, as this includes your pre treatment advise.

Will the procedure hurt?
Pain is different for different people, but I can do my best to explain the sensation! After the practitioner applies numbing cream, you will feel a short sharp scratch and some pressure. After the practitioner injects the filler, your lips may feel a dull throbbing sensation but this shouldn’t be too painful with the numbing cream applied.
Afterwards, your lips may swell up slightly, but this is the body’s natural response to injury and this should subside after a few days. Your lips may also feel slightly tender for a few days, a side effect with most aesthetic and medical injections.

How long will the procedure take?
The length of the procedure will take approximately 1 hours, the numbing cream will be left on for 15 minutes and this also gives us time to go through medical and consent forms along with answering any further questions and ensuring you are as comfortable as you can be with with us while in the Clinic.

How long will the filler last?
Once we have built up the lips to the desired look they can last 6 to 14 months. This also depends on other factors like the clients metabolism, lifestyle etc. Some may need to get their fillers topped up after six months, and others may find it lasts longer.

For first time filler we always recommend building the filler up to a maintainable level, this could be 2-3 appointments to build the layers of filler to only require a top up.

What filler will be used?
You & Improved uses EPTQ Dermal Filler. We have spent lots of time researching/investing and testing to source the best products for our clients and this is the one we had best results with.
